With praise and thanksgiving, Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades will ordain Deacons Samuel Anderson, Brian Florin, Robert Krisch, Zane Langenbrunner, David Langford, Jacob Schneider, and Ryan Timossi to the Priesthood through the imposition of hands and the invocation of the Holy Spirit. The ordination will take place on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Fort Wayne. Due to seating capacity, this event is not open to the public, but it will be live-streamed on diocesefwsb.org.
As the National Eucharistic Revival prepares for a cross-country Eucharistic pilgrimage in the summer of 2024, our diocese is serving as a pilot by hosting our own cross-diocesan Eucharistic procession this summer, from June 4th through Corpus Christi Sunday June 11th. On Sunday, June 11, Sacred Heart and Our Lady of Guadelupe parishioners are invited to gather together to process in prayer and song from Sacred Heart to Lucerne Park as Fr. Jonathan, Fr. Tino & Deacon Marco elevate the monstrance for all to see the enclosed body of Jesus Christ. Adoration will be in Sacred Heart church from 1:30- 1:55 pm Procession will begin at 2:00 pm. We will process the .8mi to McKinley Park, where we will make a short song, prayer and blessing stop. We will then process the .9 mi to Lucerne Park's amphitheater for song, benediction and blessing. Following will be a family picnic including fun & games. You can bring your own food & drink or purchase from vendors that will be on site. If you cannot process you are welcome to join us at Lucerne Park.

Our parish will honor the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus by coming together to offer prayers of praise, thanksgiving and supplication for a continuous 40 hours in adoration before the True presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. The 40 hours will begin with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament on Friday, June 16th at 7:00 pm. Final prayers of Benediction, blessing and Reposition of the Blessed Sacrament will be at 10:45 am on Sunday, June 18th. A minimum of two people are asked to be present throughout the 40 hours. Sign up as an individual, with a friend or as a family. Ministry groups are encouraged to come together and may offer times of communal prayers and/or songs.
