Exodus 90 and Magnify 90
"When I was in seminary my spiritual director invited me and a few other guys to a meeting to discuss an idea he had. He was thinking about the struggles he saw many men having and thought he had a solution. He explained that scientists had discovered that the brain needs 90 days of consistent activity to form or break a habit. So he wanted to invite us to a 90 day program focused on breaking bad habits and forming good ones. We also would be reading and praying with the Exodus story because we wanted to move from slavery to freedom. Thus “Exodus 90” was born! 
I thought that I was doing pretty good in my spiritual life but the ascetical practices and fraternity became a catalyst to see how much deeper I could go in prayer and relationship with the Lord. Over the years I know many men who have had their lives changed by Exodus 90. I have a friend who discovered an addiction to Television by starting Exodus 90, and by the end of the 3 months he had broken the addiction and read over a dozen Spiritual books. 
There is an alternative for women as well known as Magnify 90. 
As pastor, I want to strongly encourage every man to participate in Exodus 90 at least once in his life. And every woman participate in Magnify 90 in her life. The sacrifices made and the intentionality of these 90 days will benefit your life, the life of your family, the life of this parish and beyond.
